Hyalite Farm
Laura Roe and her family live on 15 acres just outside of Bozeman, at the mouth of scenic Hyalite Canyon. Registered Nigerian Dwarf goats and Icelandic sheep live at Hyalite Farm along with an assortment of chickens, honeybees, horses, family dogs and cats, and the occasional rabbit. Hyalite Farm's newest addition, Vita, is an Italian Maremma livestock guard dog puppy who arrived last November (from Georgia) to an unforgiving early Montana winter. Luckily she adapted quickly and has grown quite attached to her farm.
In addition to livestock, the farm offers wildflower honey, Icelandic wool, healing salves and handmade soaps.
Handmade Soaps: Nothing beats the cleaning and moisturizing power of Hyalite Farm soaps. Whether goat or sheep milk based, these suds provide your skin with nutrients that encourage a healthy epidermal environment while promoting your skin's proper Ph level. Sheep and goat milk contain proteins and fatty acids that nourish your body leaving your skin soft and clean, free of chemical residues.
Humble Bee Pucker Ups: Get relief from chapped lips, dry skin, eczema, and more. The beeswax found in these Pucker Ups comes from Hyalite Farm beehives when enough wax is available to harvest.
Honey: Our Humble Bee honey is truly 100% wildflower honey! We have many native shrubs, weeds, flower gardens, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, alfalfa fields, and clover in the area. The girls work very hard bringing in the nectar and we sure appreciate their efforts. Once harvested I strain my honey and bottle it raw. It is chock full of unadulterated, unmedicated nutrients.
Icelandic Wool: Whether you are a hand spinner, knitter, felter, rug hooker, or crafty person, Hyalite Farm has beautiful Icelandic wool for sale. Yarn, rovings, and felting batts are available in a variety of natural colors.
